The new Toughbook CF-T8 is the latest installment in Panasonic’s ultra portable and highly popular T-series. Replacing the CF-T7, the Panasonic Toughbook T8 will have expected advances to the processor, RAM, and hard drive space. This unit is perfect for mobile professionals who need touchscreen functionality and specifically thrives in the healthcare industry.
- Features
The Panasonic Toughbook T8 has a built-in sanitizable rubber hand strap, which allows healthcare professionals an ergonomic way to hold the laptop and the ability to clean it properly. While the CF-T8 lacks an internal DVD drive, it does come standard with touchscreen functionality. The 1.20GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor is supported with 3MB of L2 cache and 3GB of RAM standard. Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth and an optional Gobi module offer the full spectrum of wireless communications. A fully-charged battery will last approximately seven hours and the screen is bright and clear, even in daylight.

Rugged features, such as a shock-mounted 120GB hard drive and spill-resistant keyboard, ensure maximum durability and industry-leading reliability. The Panasonic T8 provides significant data security features including trusted platform module (TPM) security chip v. 1.2, the Computrace theft protection agent in the BIOS, a cable lock slot, password security and an optional fingerprint scanner. Every Panasonic Toughbook notebook includes a standard three-year limited warranty and free access to 24/7/365 U.S.-based phone support for the entire life of the product. The Toughbook T8 is built to handle up to a 30" drop and can also withstand up to 220 pounds of pressure on its lid without the screen sustaining any damage. The mainboard is completely sealed, so if you pour water on the keyboard it will simply drain out of the bottom of the unit!
