The new Toughbook CF-F8 has taken design and durability to a whole new level within Panasonic’s Business Rugged line of laptops. Weighing slightly over three and a half pounds, the new Toughbook F8 is ideal for individuals or companies looking to equip themselves with a laptop that is portable, capable, durable, and sleek in appearance. This rare combination of aesthetics and performance is destined to draw a whole new crowd of loyal Toughbook fans.

Building on the success of the Y-Series, the new Toughbook F8 features a sleek black outer casing, a long over-due built-in handle and substantial enhancements to capability. Boasting a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 6MB of L2 cache, a 1066 MHz FSB, and 2GB RAM standard, the CF-F8 certainly hits the mark with performance while delivering Panasonic’s renowned rugged design. An optional integrated Gobi module provides WWAN access for Sprint, Verizon, or AT&T. More importantly, Gobi allows users to change the carrier whose service they subscribe to without having to change the internal equipment. Standard features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a DVD Multi drive finish off one of the best Toughbook models to date. Each unit has the option of pre-loaded Windows XP Professional SP2 or Window’s Vista Business edition.

Occasional spills are combated with drainage holes that let water flow through the keyboard and out the bottom of the laptop. Occasional drops are addressed with Panasonic’s trademark magnesium alloy casing that can withstand a variety of drops and approximately 220 pounds of pressure. A 250GB removable shock mounted hard drive tops off the rugged design, helping to ensure your data stays safe, secure, and intact.
