The Toughbook® Arbitrator digital video recording system incorporates a high-performance camera with a wide angle lens a wireless microphone to accurately record events as they occur. Footage is captured on rugged, solid state Panasonic P2 cards with the option to wirelessly transfer data to the station using a Panasonic Toughbook mobile computer or any other vehicle-mounted PC. This feature, combined with a wide angle camera lens, zoom range and infrared capabilities make it the ideal witness when video evidence is presented in court or other critical situations that require accurate video documentation

The Panasonic Toughbook Arbitrator offers state-of-the-art digital recording and data-compression technologies. Users can customize up to eight unique “triggers” that will automatically engage the video recording system as well as easily query past incidents with an intuitive documentation system. The Arbitrator supports pre and post-event recording of up to 180 seconds, ensuring critical data remains intact

The Toughbook Arbitrator is as versatile as it is durable, allowing for up to 32 hours of full-motion video to be captured. This digital data is saved in files small enough to be downloaded via a secured wireless network to a precinct or central location, where it can then be shared with numerous sources in the interest of public safety. This system eliminates the need for videotapes and hard-drive recording hardware.
