Versatile, Rugged and Ultra-Portable with Daylight-Readable Touchscreen Display
The ultra-portable, 2.6 lb Toughbook 08 is an ideal solution for transmitting and collecting information in a variety of work settings. With its multi-client capability, multiple authorized users in different locations can simultaneously and securely connect to a server via Citrix, RDP or HTTP to access and update server-based applications up to 300 feet away from a wireless access point. It can also be used to view and control a single wireless LAN enabled PC.
- Features
The Toughbook 08 has no major internal components. The hard drive solely relies on getting what it needs from workstations, local servers, or other remote sources. The unit comes standard with Citrix ICA client and Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection to help facilitate wireless access. The touchscreen LCD display can leverage Microsoft Transcriber handwriting recognition software to help capture signatures.

The Panasonic Toughbook Wireless Display works with Windows Server, Citrix Metaframe and other Web servers that can be accessed through 802.11x Local Wireless Area Networks. In addition to one-to-one communication between the Toughbook 08 and a notebook computer, the screen can also be used as part of a multi-client system in which several devices are connected directly to a server..
